Sale of eco-refurbished boats France and Europe - Refit by Yuniboat - Shipyard in Batz-sur-Mer (44)
#SailingWell with our eco-refurbished boats
The ton of new waste avoided
A simple obviousness and a huge park!
There are over 1.2 million boats in France (second worldwide), with an average lifespan of 40 years. During this period, the usage time is barely one year (2.5% of its lifespan!). Currently, we do not know how to reuse profitably the fiber from which these ships are made. At the end of their lives, they are dismantled into pieces, then buried or burned.
Refurbishing our boats within an eco-circular logic
At Yuniboat, we are pioneers in boat refurbishing following an eco-circular approach. Our mission is to extend the lifespan of boats, thereby reducing waste and the carbon footprint of the nautical industry. We offer an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative for buying your boat, while ensuring the quality and safety of our vessels. All our eco-refurbished boats are guaranteed.
The RUPTUR label
Yuniboat applied in 2023 for the Ruptur label, joining a community committed to sustainable economy. This association promotes zero waste, inspiration from nature, and value creation, aligning with Yuniboat's mission in sustainable sailing. By integrating into this diverse network of several hundred members, Yuniboat benefits from an ecosystem conducive to innovation and collaboration. The Ruptur label offers Yuniboat an opportunity to strengthen its credibility, access valuable resources, and contribute to transforming the nautical industry toward a more responsible future.
The Ruptur association bases its actions on 9 inseparable foundations that take into account environmental and socio-economic challenges. This holistic approach allows Yuniboat to adopt a comprehensive sustainable development strategy, going beyond mere technological innovation.
The 9 foundations of RUPTUR are:
Yuniboat is committed to 5 fundamental objectives
The UNITED NATIONS has defined 17 goals to save the world. The Sustainable Development Goals provide the roadmap to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace, and justice. The goals are interconnected, and to leave no one behind, it is important to achieve each of them, and each of their targets, by 2030.
Access to decent jobs
Yuniboat creates skilled and sustainable jobs locally, boosting the regional economy while training the talents of tomorrow in marine refurbishment trades.
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
With its industrial site development project, Yuniboat is building an innovative sector dedicated to industrial boat refurbishment.
Responsible consumption and production
Yuniboat extends the lifespan of boats through reconditioning within an eco-circular approach, thereby reducing nautical waste and the use of new natural resources.
Fight against climate change
By integrating technologies with positive impact (electric engines and biofuels, etc...), Yuniboat actively contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions in the nautical sector.
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development
By offering more eco-friendly innovations for boats, it reduces marine pollution, limiting emissions and toxic materials into the oceans.
With BPI and ADEME
The first label we obtained is the Green Rooster. Created by the French government, it recognizes companies committed to sustainability. To achieve this, a company must conduct a self-assessment, develop an action plan, undergo an external audit, be approved by a committee, engage in continuous improvement, and communicate transparently. Yuniboat, by obtaining this label, enhances its credibility, gains a competitive advantage, innovates, demonstrates its social responsibility, and can access grants, while also making a positive contribution to the environment.
Yuniboat is also RED COQ (French Tech) and BLUE COQ (French FAB).
Co-designed by 30 engaged business networks including the Impact France Movement, the Impact Score enables any company or organization to assess its social and ecological impact from all angles. The Impact Score is built on 3 essential pillars for transformation:
Environmental Impact of Yuniboat
Economic Impact of Yuniboat
Social Impact of Yuniboat
Innovation and Technology
